Welcome to 2plus1finance ("Company", "we", "our", "us"), operated by TwoPlusOne Studios Ltd. By downloading, accessing, or using the 2plus1finance mobile application (the "App") or website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). You accept these Terms by ticking the "I have read and agree" box when you create your account (we record the date, time and version of the Terms you accepted), or otherwise by accessing or using the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Service.
2plus1finance provides a financial workspace platform including expense management, receipt scanning (via AI/OCR), mileage tracking, invoice generation, financial reports, document storage and team accounts, as described on our website. The App operates as a companion tool to our web platform. We continually improve the Service and may change or add features. If we permanently withdraw the Service or remove a material feature, we will give paying subscribers reasonable advance notice by email and, where you have paid for a period we will no longer provide, refund the unused portion.
The 2plus1finance App is free to download. Paid features require an active subscription, which can be purchased either through our website or through an In-App Purchase on iOS.
Prices differ between channels because Apple charges a platform commission on iOS In-App Purchases. You may choose whichever channel you prefer. Prices shown are the total amount you pay each month; no VAT is added at checkout.
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial of all Premium features. We do not ask for any payment details to start the trial, and you will never be charged unless you actively take out a paid subscription. When your trial ends, nothing happens automatically: your account is not charged and does not convert to a paid plan — paid features are simply locked until you choose to subscribe, and your data is retained so you can pick up where you left off. We may limit free trials to one per person or business.
When you subscribe through the iOS App, the following terms apply:
Subscriptions purchased via our website 2plus1finance.com are billed at £6.99/month and managed by our payment processor (GoCardless). Payments are collected by Direct Debit through GoCardless Ltd: you set up the Direct Debit on GoCardless's secure pages — we never see or store your bank details — and your payments are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. You can cancel at any time from the Billing tab inside your account. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
If you are a consumer, you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel your subscription within 14 days of taking it out, without giving any reason. By subscribing you ask us to start providing the Service immediately; if you cancel within the 14-day period we will refund your payment, less a proportionate amount for the days of service you have already received. To cancel, use the Billing tab in your account or email [email protected] with a clear statement that you wish to cancel (you may use the model cancellation form in the Regulations, but you do not have to). For iOS In-App Purchases, cancellation and refunds within the cooling-off period are handled by Apple (see section 4.7). If you use the Service wholly or mainly for business purposes you may not be a "consumer" in law, but we will honour the same 14-day policy as a matter of goodwill.
Apart from the 14-day cooling-off right above and your statutory rights, monthly subscription fees are not refunded pro rata when you cancel: your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then stops. Refunds for iOS In-App Purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's Media Services Terms — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com; we are unable to issue refunds for payments taken through the App Store.
If your subscription or free trial expires, access to paid features in the App and on the website will be locked until billing is renewed via your original purchase channel (the App Store for iOS in-app purchases, or our website for web subscriptions).
You agree NOT to:
The App relies on certain third-party services to function:
The Service is a tool designed to help you organize your data. We are not an accounting firm, tax advisor, or financial planner. The generated invoices, P&L summaries, and VAT calculations are for informational and organizational purposes only. You are solely responsible for ensuring your tax returns, financial filings, and legal compliance are accurate.
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TwoPlusOne Studios Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms (including section 9) affects your statutory rights — including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for digital content to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, to a repair, replacement or price reduction where it is not, and to compensation where digital content we supply damages your device or other data because we failed to use reasonable care and skill.
We may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms; unless we are legally prevented from doing so, we will tell you why. If we close your account other than for your breach, we will refund any unused part of the period you have paid for. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing tab (see section 4), and you can close your account entirely by contacting [email protected]. After your account closes, you may request an export of your records and/or deletion of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy; we retain some records where the law requires it (for example, tax and audit records). Upon closure, your right to use the App and Service ceases.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the App at least 14 days before they take effect. If you do not agree to a material change, you can cancel your subscription before it takes effect and the change will not apply to you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
